Kahler Trem ?

Thanks for the pic's  :icon_thumright:

Damm it .... I was going to use wood mounted pickups in a SSH .....  By the look of that, I might not be able to ...... Or could I still ?

It's almost like a TOM angle  / height using those slanted pickup rings. But .... I see there both the low slanted ones thou.
Could you have used flat mount rings still on that build ?

Thank you  :icon_biggrin:

I think you will be OK with none or the flats.  The angle is VERY minor.  I have an 80s Charvel strat with a kahler...SSH routing.  There is a slight angle to the pocket.  The single coils are wood mounted and the humbucker used a low flat mount ring.  I can either post or email you some shots of that if you like.

Thanks for you offer DMRACO  :icon_biggrin: .... Lovely guitar

Got reply from Jason thou ....
Answer is .... Yes the neck pocket has to be angled slightly !!  :icon_scratch:  (Not sure on the degrees as yet)

So I take it, doing this on a new Strat build from Warmoth using a Kahler Trem, they do this as it needs to be done for correct setup !!

If you were putting this Kahler Trem on a standard already built Strat, You would then have to shim the neck pocket for correct angle !!
(thats what had me confused, Shim verses Angle) & no-doubt others too.

Also Jason said that I should be OK using either...... Wood Mounted Pickups or using the Mount rings.

Thank you Jason  :icon_thumright:
Also...
Many thanks to all that have imputed into this  :icon_thumright: with-out going to far off track  :icon_biggrin:

Hope this helps others too  :glasses9: Thanks all .....
