I think p90s traditionally go with 500k and .022 caps, like all gibson products. There's also no reason not to change them, depending on what works for you. No need to copy what Gibson and Fender did all those years ago. I've got 500k pots in my telecaster and it sounds great.
Vintage vibe sells a p90 in HB clothes too, and Fralin might as well.

Seymour Duncan's wiering diagrams for P90s show 500k pots with .047 caps.  If I understand the cap size thing right, that would make the tone pot roll off more highs than with a .022, right?

That seems to be right according to my understanding of the info I have read, but it also appears that peolpe are using different setups and values in pots etc, confusing sometimes.

Thanks, have decided on a GIbson P94 for the bridge, maybe it will match with SD Phat cat in neck?
