Just curious: Stewmac Spokewheel on the end of a Warmoth Neck?

Is it even possible?  I know you'd have to mill out a small section of fingerboard to allow for it, but I think the ease of adjustment without having to remove the neck would be a cool option to have.

Like the EVH neck in this thread.

I don't know if it's possible - the folks at Warmoth would be able to answer that question better as you'd need to know what the thread end looks like on their truss rod, what it bears against, how far in the bearing surface is, the shaft size and thread used, etc.

I do know that if I had a neck that needed truss rod adjustment so often that I had to have an easy access method of doing so, I'd be buying a new neck. I find it ironic that Warmoth's easy access adjustment method using the Gotoh side truss rod adjuster is only used on their dual-action truss rod equipped necks that require almost no adjustment at all once set up.

Well, here's an interesting implementation of the spokewheel.

We've talked about it. While it is technically possible, it's not something we're going to spend time and money on for now. We've essentially built our business off of adhering to Fender's vintage/original American 2-3/16" neck pocket specs, and that's what we will continue to do. If Fender's foray into the spoke-wheel truss rod ends up becoming permanent and trickling down to their Standard and American Series models, we will reevaluate.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that Warmoth should follow this as an option, but for the builders on here that build from scratch, that may be something to consider.
