JC tangerine over gold leaf diy

hi,

i'm new to the forums and would like to know some tips on how to properly paint tangerine over a gold leaf finished strat. 

how do I gild the gold leaf?
and what paint do I use to finish it?

I found a similar thread of someone else doing this, messaged him, but his last post was well over 2 years ago.

any help out there?

Can't remember anybody here that made a gold leaf finish, but perhaps someone has some idea about it...

Yes, the gold leaf finish looks good....
But I saw at this time it finished with other colors over the gold and found it weird
But in the end, this is YOUR guitar... do what you like, I was just saying that I really prefer it just on gold...

The gold leaf finish is awesome, but i fell in love with the tangerine color.

all's i need now is how to paint the body.
