Took delivery of my Jazzmaster body and pickguard on the 7th. Planning on painting it creme ( i think its refered to as "Banana Pudding"). As of now it's got a white primer coat on it and waiting to be sanded before it gets color. I decided to give the GFS Retrotron Nashville pups a try so we'll see how that goes. I'll post more pics when I get them.

I think its going to turn out more like Butterscotch pudding than yellow but we'll see.

Probably should have said its a poplar body routed HxH and set up for a Humbucker sized hardtail bridge, most likely coil tapped also.

The Jazzmaster is a body style I only recently have fallen in love with.  Its great to see another one in the works!

Someone say banana pudding.... :laughing7:

Straight up canary yellow with a bright white pickguard, all maple neck, chrome hardware, and don't take **** from anybody

Butterscotch has more brown in it.

Topping

Happens to be one of my favorite flavors, so whenever anybody says "butterscotch" it draws my attention.

Shot a coat of color today (pics to come). You're right Cagey, its more banana creme than butterscotch. Pudding, pie, topping... I'm getting hungry!

Hehe! Yeah, I went looking in the cupboards after that, too. Turns out I not only have some butterscotch, I've got some butter pecan syrup I forgot about. So... waffles? Pancakes? Ice Cream? Hmmm...

I think I'll wait for the cute girl next door to come over for dinner before I go to the trouble of dragging out the waffle iron to make desserts <grin>

Here's a shot with one coat of color on top of a white base coat with white pickgaurd for contrast.

Okay, got a couple more coats of color on the body, I need to finish wet sanding and shoot some clear coats and buff out. Cell phone pics suck. In the mean time ,UPS dropped off my GFS Retrotrons yesterday and I just had to see what they looked like loaded in the pickguard !! If they sound half as good as they look I'll be in business. Santa should bring bridge and the sometime in the new year a neck will be ordered.
