For the pots and caps, CTS 500k and a .047 cap. I use long shafted pots on most everything these days. They fit most things, and you can put a nut on both sides. I don't soldier grounds to the backs of pots either. I do something similar to Cagey, but rather than solder lugs, they're crimp on 3/8" eyelets that I solder post crimp. They get sandwiched between the pot and body to ground the pot chasis. However, that wasn't necessary on this one. The jack chasis and pots all mount the same plate.
I also did threaded inserts on the neck. Some say there's tonal advantages, better clamp pressure, eliminates dead spots on neck, etc., etc. I can't speculate on any of that, it just keeps the neck holes from being stripped by wood screws.
I used a drill press, but below is a jig I made to keep the drill surface perpendicular. The bolt with nut helps to keep the insert straight during install, because after all the trouble to drill perfect holes, the inserts don't always appreciate your efforts. Also, wax them things.
