It looks a little washed out in the pics because of the crappy fluorescent lights in my house, but it is a really nice piece of pau ferro on this thing. I'm gonna put a little lemon oil on it to really bring it out. :toothy10:

I have both a Bubinga and a Pau Ferro neck here, both with Jet Black Ebony 'boards and SS frets, and I have to look at them close to tell them apart. The only real differentiating point is the Pau Ferro is more dense and fine-grained.

There can be quite a difference between the two woods, depending on the piece. Bubinga is usually brown, but some of the figured Pomelle and Waterfall varieties are orange/red. Pau Ferro can be light, but it can also be dark, almost like a Rosewood.
