Jazz Bass Colour Options

Well ive just done two mock ups in a free program like photoshop but the name isn't work friendly  :laughing7:
They are pretty bad i admit, but i used the test colour sample from the finishing website im getting the paint from for the colour,
and the body has all the parts already on it,
The neck is the one from the showcase im hoping to get,
its purpleheart with ebony fretboard with pearloid blocks.
Which do you guys thinks looks better?
look beyond the square motif on the body as that wont be there, just the colour itself, and the grain pattern will be different.
Also as to not flood the board with two polls,
which hardware do you people think would suit this idea better, chrome or black? im tempted for chrome, but im open to suggestions.
Gold im not keen on and i doubt it would fit in anyways. but do say gold if you think that aswell.
Interested to hear your thoughts, but as i say apologies for the bad representation  :-\

I would definitely say the red, but that's just me. They both look nice, but I really like that red color.

Hard to tell on the HW from the mockups, but chrome is quite a bit cheaper when you add up all the HW, so that wins all ties (or anything close) in my book. And I'd probably prefer chrome anyway on those.

I like the red better, and if you're considering a purpleheart body, I hear that stuff's pretty dense - I hope your back muscles are in shape.

The neck is purpleheart with ebony, the body is from the jazz bass kit i bought, which is going to be my first attempt at finishing during summer back at home.
Im just getting my plans together early hehe.

Was going to go with the red as a difference to my purple z bass.
Yeah its not the best of mockups but its new territory for me, hehe, think i will go chrome as it is cheapest and i think i want something a bit more "retro" looking aka no black hardware hehe.

Plus if it was a purpleheart body i wouldn't be covering it over with colour  :laughing7:

I favor the chrome hardware - or if you can come up with nickel-plated, that would look more retro still.
