About 95 to 98 they were around strong.  I don't remember what they went for new.  Scott Ian from Anthrax was often seen playing one.

They also remind me of the Ibanez Talman as kind of Modern Retro thing.

They do resemble the Talman a bit, but I think it was more of Jacksons version of the Jaguar. They really weren't that expensive back then, most of them were MIJ I believe. I'm sure there were USA models, but most of them would have likley been custom shop stuff... :dontknow:

:cool01: I owned a beautiful Jackson Surfcaster it was Trans Ivory with a maple neck with ebony shark fin inlays, I was a tone machine. Unfortunately it was stolen from our rehearsal place. I do so miss that guitar oh yeah it had humbucker / lipstick pickup config. I've been searching for one like it or a black one.
