Yup, that’s the one.
I was curious about the bend situation. I’ll keep it on the back burner for now, got plenty of time before I have to lock in the build anyway.Thats probably a custom job for a luthier local to you. I know that that jack was bent custom for Charvel and even then is not a consistently great fit.
Preach it! This is my confusion as well.I get that people like to put the cable through their strap, but why not get a regular side jack a 90 degree plug?
For me the draw for doing it this way is more because it’s a little different than for any particular functionality. I don’t currently have any 90 degree cables (mine got lost a couple years back) but I used to do that with my bass all the time, so I’m not *opposed* to the regular side mount style at all.I get that people like to put the cable through their strap, but why not get a regular side jack a 90 degree plug?
Yeah, I’m not as big on that design, no particular reason just doesn’t draw me too it.On all my Charvels the jack's on the back, no bend needed.
You definitely need to do you, but I will say that purchasing a replacement 90 degree cable is a lot easier and cheaper than adding a Strat jack on the side of a guitar. Also, if you ever end up selling the guitar, that Strat jack on the side is more likely to hurt you than help you.For me the draw for doing it this way is more because it’s a little different than for any particular functionality.
