Thanks. It ia a "satin" finish but not a "hard finish"...it is an oil/beeswax/carnauba wax finish...

Only problem I ran into here was the frets, they were really dicey (6100)...I mean I have had about 5 or 6 warmoth necks before this and they were all perfect...didn't need any work to get them to play well, they were also all straight 9.5 radius. This one had high frets all over the place...it is the "warmoth radius"...so I had to do some fret leveling...the whole board actually...but hey...it plays great now.

10-16 in compound?
I went straight 12 in 59 LP profile for my upcoming build
(I swear it is never gonna get here)
I went with true jumbos though (6150)
I know that from what I have read around these parts that there is always some tidying up to do with W necks.

yeah 10-16 compound... thing is it's the first warmoth I've had to do anything with...even the bass necks I've gotten are great out of the box...this one...no dice.

I always find something to do on a neck, but they do vary. Some only need 3 or 4 frets fixed, others you're better off re-levelling the whole damn thing and going from there. But, I'm hyper-critical. I like to make them ready for thrash, but set them up to play normal so they sound good.

I like the way you think.
I do the exact same thing.
