Is it normal for a Warmoth Vintage Modern strat neck to have a hole in the butt?

Yes, that is normal. It's how the machines hold the neck during construction.

Not its not, its confusing for folks, wastes time, wastes bandwidth, and makes responses hard to follow and hard to track and hard to follow up on.

If you're in panic mode - utilize infrastructure and place a phone call.... W is very helpful on the phone.
