Well work for tommorow is installing the neck then screwing on the strap holders, and the jack plate. Questions about all.
1.For installing the neck is it a case of put the neck plate on, screw through the screws a bit to line up the body with them, then rotate fastening them to give equal tightness to each and that is done? oh with soap wax on the screws.
2.The strap holders ive placed at the usual back of the bass and the back of the upper horn , which im sure after a test will be a good place for stability. But for this is it screwing in by hand with the waxed screw, or does this need a electric screw driver to get the tightness it probably requires to hold up the bass, or would tight as hand tightened goes be enough? i dont want them screwing out on me soon as i play it standing up!
3. The jack plate im guessing is wax the screws and install it onto where the hole is with the pilot holes i drilled a week or two ago, but should i solder the wires that go to the jack onto it already and just solder them in the cavity to make the job easier for myself? as im guessing would be alot.
Cheers.
Sorry for all the posts today, just as i got to a new bit i decided to double check unless the topic had fully been covered.
After the neck tuner installation (which is now fine and looks awesome.) i didnt want to do anything without a second opinion :help:, and im learning new things as i go from all of you, so good work keeping me from mucking up more than i did, which wasnt too much to be fair on me! :hello2:
