http://www.allparts.com/Gotoh-Delta-6-in-line-Antique-Chrome-510-Lockers-p/tk-7268-010.htm.........this is where I bought em. Warmoths planet waves 13/32" or 10mm tuner ream is the hole size needed.
http://www.thesoapopera.com/main.php3......The patchouli Oil I bought here from a Cool little shop in Madison Wisconsin, they have Great stuff!
I put the tuners on, lined them up nice and straight by eye, as well as checked with a straight edge along the bottom of the tuners though it dosnt give a perfect line as it may for some tuners, so my eye was the deciding factor.
Then took a sharpie permanent marker (its the perfect size) and placed the tip through the hole on the back side of the tuners and touched the neck to leave a spot at each tuner screw hole on the back of the peghead as reference.
Then I removed the tuners and used a nail and hammer to gently tap a slight divit at each black spot for the drill bit to sit in to help keep it in the perfect center of the screw holes when drilling. Gloves under the headstock as well as the neck lying on carpet is a nice way to keep the neck from moving and prevent any dings or scratches.
I used a 1/16th drill bit, layed the screw next to the bit and taped it off slightly less than the screw length, to give me the proper depth so I didnt drill further than necessary.
I placed the leather gloves under the peg head to keep it stable, and another pair against the back of the neck, and gently place my knee on top to keep the neck from moving so my pilot holes stayed true, then I placed the tip of the drill bit in the divit of each spot and gently drilled straight down until I reached the taped guide and backed out, I continued till all the holes were finished.
I installed each tuner one at a time from the front of the headstock working my way back, making sure my philips bit fit the head of these screws perfectly, I dipped each screw in patchouli oil for lubrication (in true hippy fashion) and gently screwed them in by hand. being carefull to keep the phillips head flush with the screw head until they were snug.
After they were all installed I used a 10mm socket and driver to tighten the nuts snug on the front side of the headstock, again by hand. and Walla!!!, no broken screws and a nice tuner job complete.
