Input jack won't fit in body cavity

First of all - DONT unibit it.  That will keep the hole centered, and it looks like you want to move it over a little... instead FILE the hole larger.

A standard Switchcraft 1/4 inch phone jack will fit in a 7/8 inch hole.  The LP plate will cover that and hole the jack.

MAKE SURE THE PLATE WILL FIT THE CONTOURS first.  You may need to go with a "football" plate instead.

It holds the jack in place.  The jack mounts to the plate, and the plate screws into the wood.

When worn in the upper lip, its purely cosmetic, but jack has been known to eat off it from time to time...so I guess it has a purpose as well
