I'm very sure they won't do that, but you should ask anyways. You'll probably have to take it elsewhere to get it painted.

B&W Rising sun doesn't strike me as a Tonar finish :P

Yea - it's not Tonar's ball of wax.  Not sure who would paint that design.

BTW even though it's two colors, it's still a solid color finish.  non-solid colors refer to transparent finishes in which you can see the grain of the wood through the finish.

wasn't there a guy here who had this design in green and yellow on ebay?
we were all making fun of it and he signed on to defend the price for it.. I think he mentioned who painted it for him..

An auto body shop could (though they may not) do that.  Take it down there and see.  Even if they won't, one of the employees may have the stuff and ability to do it at home as a side job, or they now someone who could.  You could also comb the art department at a local Junior College.

yeah i went into a car paint store a while ago and they said they paint guitars but im not sure its worth a try but here comes the hard part, money

Not to rain on your parade, but that should be the first thing, even before asking for help on a forum.  You should have a rough idea, ball park estimate of the cost.  I don't speak for everyone else, but help is free on here and, "Yeah, I'm not gonna do any of that because it costs too much" type statement after willing strangers help you sort out the details on your dream guitar makes me a little less willing to help the next guy.

i do have a range i believe it will round out a bit under a thousand and i dont know about the money you make but last time i checked thats a fairly large amount of money

it doesnt mean im not gonna take your advice but im not gonna have 1000 bucks by tomorrow either

It's a large amount, I work for a living, but I have no illusions about what things cost.  From the time I wanted a Warmoth to the time I got one was 11 years.  I not saying wait 11 years, I'm saying don't settle for anything less and get what you want, damn the cost!  If a setting sun costs x amount, find someone to do it cheaper or pay x amount.  Don't change your mind because it costs money.  This is a CUSTOM job.  Cheap and custom are not usually synonomous.  Believe me, I've done my dream builds, everyone's pulling for you to build yours too.  It's just frustrating to help someone reinvent the wheel and read "meh."

right ok now were on the same page its just you know you come up with these plans and you think how great its gonna be its hard to wait but the better itll be the more time i put into it

There is some old verbiage in the manufacturing business that reads:
There are 3 main constraints to a product; cheap, fast, and quality.
You can have quality fast, or you can have quality cheap, or you can have fast and cheap, but all three are not possible...

Only you can decide.  :dontknow:
