I hate it when this happens!

me friggin neither.  Greg said it will be ready Tuesday, and i'm not sure how much longer i'd be able to wait if it wasn't.  I don't even have it yet and it's already the nicest guitar i've ever owned.  well... electric guitar.  at one point i had a taylor 714celtd with cocobolo back and sides and abalone inlays that was pretty spectacular.  this just might be better though, because it is completely custom.  :headbang1:

thanks for the suggestions guys.  went with parchment white.  pickups are Seymour Duncans, Vintage Rhythm STR-1 in the neck, and Jerry Donnahue Lead APTL-3JD in the Bridge.  Electronics are RS Guitarworks, tuners are Planet Waves auto-trim locking tuners.  Everything else was scrounged up wherever I could find them. here's the final product:

I used a 4-way switch and found a custom wiring diagram so the selector goes: 1) Bridge, 2) Bridge+Neck Series (Humbucker), 3) Bridge+Neck Parallel (regular Tele), 4) Neck.  This guitar is set up to run with 12's, detuned a whole step.

The neck is a Custom Ordered Warmoth neck: Birdseye Maple, Warmoth Pro construction, SRV Contour, Abalone Inlays, Compensated Nut, Compound Radius.

The body is a one-piece body that my buddy Dennis and I cut from raw Swamp Ash on the CNC that belongs to his family's cabinet shop.  I bought a whole bunch of swamp ash in order to cut about a dozen of these but never got more than a few as life got in the way.

Finish is by my friend and longtime guitar mentor Greg who does them the old-fashioned way.  Thank, Tonar8353 for a killer guitar.

This project was started over five years ago and completed today.

I love the four-way on the Tele, the N+B(HB) is such a gutsy, muscular tone!  :icon_thumright:

-Five years! Wow! No wine before it's time, huh? Well I guess it just goes to show the old saying is true! Definitely looks like it was worth the wait!

Looks great Fuzz!  You can really tell how deep that finish looks from your pictures by the reflection of the rocks on the surface.

Enjoy, play it hard, but don't touch it; you will get finger prints on that beautiful finish.  :laughing7:
