Hybrid Stratocaster - Shell Pink

Have a body and neck coming soon - Monday for the neck, a few more weeks for the body. I originally wanted to go with Wide Range humbuckers, but Warmoth is not tooled for them with the hybrid Stratocaster, so going with regular sized humbuckers - T-Tops from a 1974 Les Paul Custom. If I hate them, the router will come out for the WR pups.

Shell pink with a pearloid pickguard tickled my fancy asethetically - seems like a popular color for the model. Using a Callaham vintage Stratocaster hardtail bridge and mostly Callaham hardware in stainless steel. Once the neck arrives, I'll start posting parts pix. I opted for a boatneck profile quartersawn Telecaster neck with jumbo frets, and a clear gloss finish. The body will be lightweight alder.

More to come...

I'm also building a shell pink Strat with a Callaham bridge! Expecting the body and neck either today or Monday.

Looking forward to seeing how yours progresses!

Regular size humbucker routes are good because you have a LOT of options.  I'm curious where you got the '74 T top pickups from.

Did you see the shell pink hybrid Strat project by Axkoa back in March?
