How much weight should paint add?

I'll have an idea about it pretty soon as well. I ordered a Meadowhawk from the showcase that was in the low 3lb range before pickup and trem routing. It'll be very interesting to see what it comes in at.

Following on, the Meadowhawk arrived today (yea!) and it weighs 3lb 11oz which is a 0.5lbs more than the showcase weight more or less. So, perhaps that's the answer: ~0.5lbs.

I'm also thinking that the flake finish on the Dinkycaster could be heavier due to them trying to mitigate the issues they obviously had with it. I think I'll just tell myself that so I can feel better and move on.

A propos of nothing, the Boeing 747 carries about 400 pounds of paint. Even the extra-light one.
