How many pieces are Warmoth bodies usually?

I've been thinking of ordering a swamp ash body through the body-builder, in a clear finish to show off the grain. I understand that Warmoth charges extra for one-piece bodies, but if I decide to skip that, how many pieces can I expect? Do they generally do a good job matching the grain? I like my basses to look as pretty as possible.

Here's just a showcase search on guitar bodies, with swap ash to get an idea.
1 piece bodies will state that they are.

If your going clear finish and are real fussy on the outcome.
:dontknow:  I'd probably go the 1 piece.
Think I know what your getting at here.
Especially using a clear finish, as you don't won't one side slightly darker, or a not such a good match.  :sad1:
But, from a lot I've seen, they do a pretty bloody good match up.

You can ask or specify what your after, they are very good to deal with.  :headbang:
Actually they are the best to deal with.  :icon_thumright:

You're right! It's hard to tell on most of them.
Thanks for the reply.

It's a custom order so it will be up to your specs. Ask for one, two or three piece body. You can even specify if you want a two piece body to be glued in the middle or not.

They do an excellent job matching the grain. Send them a pic of an unfinished body to show the grain pattern you have in mind. They will try to make a similar looking body.
