How do you feel about the new ignore feature?

You can't ignore people like that

but seriously, if you ignored someone who asked a lot of questions, they could be asking qustions that you had yourself and you would never know.

The ignore feature might muck up the GOTM.  A person with a lot of ignores will see less entries, and possibly have his/hers seen at all.  Not that that matters.  If DMRACO was being ignored, the person ignoring wouldn't even see the thread.

For me it's reserved for the type who have to bring their personal politics into every other conversation. Really just trying to check out some guitars. If someone wants to rant on how WalMart is ruining the country or whatever, great, but not really something I care to read here. Feature is a win-win because it's totally optional.

I'm on other forums where politics, religion, economics and house prices are the staple topics. It's always peaceful there, right?  So when I come here, it's a pleasant bit of fresh air. Why anyone would troll a guitar building forum is beyond me, and the fact that the mroe experienced builders and players are so welcoming and helpful is arguably the best part of this forum. The sense that other people are open to everyone's ideas is really refreshing and pleasant. There is no stupid question seems to be the motto of this forum, and  :icon_thumright:  :icon_thumright: two thumbs up for that.

I agree that on this type of forum, leave the opinions about jobs, etc at home. It doesn't add anything, and just stirs people up unnecessarily.

seems dumb for this kind of forum. this forum is extremely civil compared to some that i'm a member of. doesn't seem at all necessary here. i won't be using it.

How I did not find this forum full of grown-ups sooner is beyond me.

I would have liked it on some other forums I used to frequent, don't think I'll need it here.
