Who would want to ignore Max and Mayfly?

I've got three now. Who the hell knows why though, everyone knows my posts are delightful. :icon_jokercolor:

So far SuperLizard is winning with 5.

Gotta have a strong opinion, stick-to-it-tive-ness and big balls to correct the board status quo
when they're wrong to score as high as I do.  

Doesn't hurt to know your sh!t, have tons of BBS experience (including psychological dynamics), nor not be afraid to smack down a jackass or two, either.  :icon_thumright:

I am shocked anyone is actually using this feature and even more shocked at some of the people being ignored. I know this is a gathering place for people to hang out and just chat but it is also a place to gain valuable information. Ignoring some people who use the form more as a social place rather then give advice, such as myself is one thing; but I can say whoever ignored mayfly wil be missing aome very good information at some point down the line. Their are others as well but that one in paticular set me for a loop and can't for the life of me figure that one out.

Just like I'm not the only one who knows NOS t00b coding.

Just like Tonar isn't the only one who's finished a guitar.

Just like Wyliee isn't the only one who's built a bass.

Nobody has a sole monopoly on particular info here... some know more than others, certainly.

You are right but by using the ignore button you are limiting yourself and perhaps missing out on first rate knowledge.

That all depends on the person and:

- how much experience they have in given subject

- how much they can stand the person giving info (heheh - but it's true)

...or a combo thereof.

In reference to the gaining of information about a particular subject relevant to guitar building or associated musical items of interest:

You'd be stupid to ignore anyone. Opinions of all sorts can be helpful, if for anything but to gather a host of variances in the information you seek. Start cutting out some of that info and you risk limiting your known options in the matter at hand.

It doesn't really matter if they have played for 20 years or 2 minutes. If something doesn't sound right or look right, people with the most naivete experience can say the most honest answers to that sort of question.

You may not like the opinion but the fact it's there is to be answered to. By ignoring those who grate on your nerves you are settling for those who may be syncophants to your stated views.

yes i know, i feel left out, i cant even be noticed enough to be ignored.

as far as my sentence above, i guess that could be read a few ways and the most obvious way isnt what i meant, i gotta start proof reading. i meant i see a digit (0) that shows how many are ignoring me. the other day there was a list of names and if the list was empty it said you were popular, if i remember it right.
