How did I miswire?

When you aren't touching the guitar it buzzes, when you touch the strings it buzzes LOUDLY. However, I already grounded the TremClaw, do you guys think I grounded incorrectly?

Also, the Master tone pot cuts the volume off completely when it is at 1, but then turns it the volume on and starts acting like a tone pot from 2-10. It doesn't do it everytime but most. Bad pot?

I am using a "Blender Config" from ACME.

Any help would be awesome! (can't post pics, sadly)

Assuming you didn't tackle coil-tapping or series/parallel switching, one wire from the pickup goes to ground. The other, live wire goes to a switch or a pot, which f*cks with the signal, then to another switch or pot, and so on till it goes to the hot tip of the jack. Potentiometers can each work correctly wired in a couple of different ways - so it's important not to confuse yourself with too many, contradictory drawings. Everything that needs to be grounded only needs to be grounded ONCE.

I've always found it best to do my own drawing for each project, making sure all the pickup color codes were right and that I understood what the electricity was DOING. I.E., volume pots roll signal off to ground, tone pots roll signal off through a capacitor, switches switch....

Even if someone could diagnose your malady from this description, you're not learning much... the best thing you can do is put the guitar in it's case, put it under the bed, and draw the circuit you were trying for and make sure you know what it's supposed to DO. THEN, get your guitar out and compare it.
Simply unsoldering and resoldering wires in a mad, hopeful frenzy is one way to pass the time, of course - so is banging on your head with a hammer. :party07: Sometimes playing your other guitar is a good way to clear your head, I personally REFUSE to do wiring in certain (classified) states of mind. :toothy12:
