How best to safeguard a guitar? *Security Question*

i heard a story about a guy who stuck a passport photo or maybe wrote a few numbers off his driver's license inside the control cavity. the guitar was stolen and he found it sitting in a pawn shop, asked them to open it up and it proved he WAS the owner. have a feeling the story wasn't true, but i think the idea is a good one. i should do the same to my guitars.

something less than permanent might be a good idea though, since if you even sold it the person who bought it might not want part of a license number inked in their new guitar. a sticker with the number on the side of the control cavity might work.

of course none of that really counts as "theft protection."

They have music tech, ill see if i can, but doubt i could get a storage locker there as im not on the music tech courses if they have any that is, and even so i bet they charge 100 a day to use them,
They are penny pinchers with everything there, good but you have to be careful

ah yeah, well im gonna get a uv pen and write on it somewhere as the police use them alot, and most places have a uv light for checking paper money with.
As for selling thats a never ever happen thing. Same for my fender really,

However i do know one feature of that guitar that no one else will , and its a "battle" scar from when i installed the bridge pickup, thats noticeable, but enough under the pickup that it doesnt show normally.
Basically i can say there is a bit of bare wood showing just under the left side of the bridge pick up, and there is. XD

........... Thats a quarter of what my warmoth costs the actual box thing, let alone the monthly cost
Jeeez things are expensive to keep something safe,  i dont think i could class my warmoth as a child unfortunately, though it is my baby hehe XD
Hmmm think ill just keep really good tabs on it, and use some of the lower down suggestions, and never take it out of my site unless a trusted friend is there
