hot rodded vintage strat

Weird request here...after all the years of playing , i realized that i really like vintage fender necks 7 1/4 radius. I dont need super low action and the necks feel great. But i want to do a build with a 50's classic strat, putting a humbucker in the bridge and maybe leave a single coil in the neck then add a Floyd rose bridge. My main question is , would a standard floyd locking nut of 10" throw the action too far off ? If so , does, or could anyone make a 7 1/4 radius locking nut ? I noticed Matthias Jabs ( scorpions ) and Joe Holmes ( former Ozzy ) both played vintage strats with floyds at one time. If i can't use a standard locking nut i will do a behind the nut lock...Also, does anyone make a vintage style neck ( with the aged amber finish and 7 1/4 radius ) that has 22 frets ? And i do not want a vintage neck with jumbo frets that have been leveled to a 10" or bigger radius...i like the feel of the vintage radius frets as well...

Is there any particular reason that you want a locking nut? Unless you are dead set on the traditional double locking Floyd setup, it is arguable that locking nuts are unnecessary. Simply invest in a quality set of locking tuners, and you can have a standard nut cut to the radius that you like.

I tried that ( no locking nut ) with a Wilkinson trem and a graphite nut , although good, its still not fool proof. If you get whacky with it it still goes out from time to time. The locking nut right at the nut is not critical , but i do want it locked ...

Did you have locking tuners?

Floyd only came up with the locking nut because there was no such thing as locking tuners or graphite/roller nuts back then. The things are a pain in the shorts - I'd think you'd welcome the chance to get rid of them.

All trems are tuning nightmares - even Floyds and Wilkies on perfectly set up fiddles. If nothing else, strings stretch and don't come back to tension. It's just a cost of doing business. It's why a lotta guys just say "piss on it" and learn to handle vibrato by hand. Of course, you can't do dive bombs that way, but hasn't that trick been done to death?

I have locking tuners and a graphite nut with a Wilkie.  Works well but serious whammy work will still wack it out.  If the floyd is what you want...do it.  IMHO it does not throw off looks that much.  Check out my version of a fender classic. 

Also.  I do believe Warmoth will make a straight radius neck.
