The work on the fret ends is really, really nice - near-perfect little "half-hotdog" shape. If they're leveled as well as they're rounded, that's gonna be one comfortable guitar. arty07:
I have a $200 Ibanez GAX70 I got in trade for lessons that has bee-yoo-tiful fret ends - it's one of the most important things you can do for a guitar. There must be some kind of Fret-O-Matic machine that just makes a lucky pass - some days. :toothy12:
&, there are traditions of fine craftsmanship in just about every country on the Asian continent; I guess it depends on the specs and investments that the owner company makes.
I have a Korean made LP and at first glance it looks great and it has a nice tone, just don't remove any of the covers. It seems they drilled 3 holes to install one screw. Also, that inlays and bindings have turnd different colours and all the finish has come off the bridge and tuners.
So after 2 years it looked like a 50 year old guitar.
I once had a Korean LP clone, it sounded better than anything else in my price range at the time (£200-£250) and felt fantastic but after a year it started to fall apart, the binding was coming loose the set neck started to wobble and the tuners had packed up. Despite all that I got £50 for it.
