Isn't there a similar blue-green Tele on here somewhere? With P90s? Anyone know what I'm talking about? I tried a search but found nothing... But I distinctly remember that that Tele looked killer, as would this one!

It would look awesome.  Canary/ebony looks mighty good, too (he said, speaking from personal experience).

I was thinking either rosewood or pau ferro with an ebony fretboard.

Here's another version with binding:

I'm thinking clear gloss on the mahogany back. Then for a neck, similar to one of these? 

That last one has a nice canary skunk stripe that might look pretty cool.

And remember - just because it has two extra frets off the back doesn't mean you have to try to pretend to be a bass player. Personally I think it's a recipie for crispy twang like nobody's business. Try stringing one gauge lighter than normal, tune it half step down.
