Even if the pics were wrong, or the owner took some liberties, it's still a sound analogy.  A friend in HS had a '53 Ford (truck) that had a Chevy motor under the hood.  So what.  The Ford and Chevy nuts never cried foul, and Ford and Chevy never visited his house saying he couldn't put a Chevy motor in a Ford.  It was what it was.

I don't see how you could pass many Warmoth necks and bodies off as Fender except in all of the plainest of models (i.e. maple necks and painted bodies).  Does Fender even do necks like this?
