Headstock Logo on Satin Nitro finish? Paint? Sticker?

I'm finishing up a Strat build and am looking to put a logo on the headstock, probably a signature of my last name "Smith" as it's a build of my own creation.  I'm wondering if anyone has ever painted on a Satin Nitro finish.

What kind of paint did you use/should I use?
Maybe a sticker would be better?  Any recommendations on custom sticker vendors?

Thanks in advance.

Stickers almost always look cheesy. You're better off with a water-slide decal, either on its own or buried in some additional coats of clear lacquer. That's the professional look you're probably shooting for. Plus, it wears better. You can buy blank, clear waterslide paper in 8.5"x11" sheets from places like this that you can run through a laser printer, which opens up a world of possibilities. Any font, size, design - your only limit is your imagination.

I can't speak to painting something on. Sounds like a great deal of trouble to me.

I have a vinyl cutting machine.  I paint my signature under the clear on all of my guitars with a vinyl stencil.  Signed a piece of paper with a sharpy, sent it through the machine, cut it out and you get a stencil to spray your own signature on it.  If you can scan a piece of paper with your signature on it and give me the dimensions i'll send you a stencil.  That way you can stick the stencil on the headstock, spray the name, peel the stencil off and you're done.

Just a thought.  OR even easier would be just pick a standard font and it'll print out perfectly clean.

Here's a link to a post of how I did a waterside decal on my satin nitro finished headstock: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=17997.msg266285#msg266285 - it's reply #11 on that thread.

Thanks for the feedback guys. @atozguitars, PM me your email and I'll send you a PDF of my signature and my info. That sounds awesome.

I'll also investigate water slide logos too. Thanks for the feedback guys.
