Have you gotten someone else to buy Warmoth?

I was talking with a friend of mine and he was telling me that I inspired him to get back into playing guitar after 20 years.  He tells me that he wants to buy a Tele and I showed him mine that I just built, plus the VIP and Strat that I built.  He spent over two hours on the guitar and neck builder looking at nearly every combination possible and is now bent on building a Tele, LP and Strat, in that order.

Anyone else have a similar story?

Yes, since everyone of my demo guitars is a Warmoth a lot of people get to try them out. There have been several people who have either bought a neck or went with a whole build after playing them. It's always great to see the look on thier face when they hold it. The most common comment is "so, this is a Warmoth? Wow, I've heard of them but never got to play one, This is nice!"

The only negative comment on a guitar I ever heard was some jerk who says he hates flattop guitars!  :laughing11:

My bass teacher after seeing mine was interested in what they could do for a tele i believe, dont know if he has followed it up,
Recommended them to two other friends, both wanting stuff that couldn't be on production basses, but both couldnt afford warmoth at this point in time.
One because he has a kid and wife and doesnt have the money stored for a build, but does want a new bass to replace his i believe its a carvin 6  string if they do basses
The other is just dependant on student loan for money and lazy,  :laughing7:

Since I have started Gigging Barn Door, I get a lot of guys asking me about assembling their own guitar, they are amazed at how she sounds and how she plays. I do not know if anyone will try to do it but Warmoth gets a lot of plugs from me.

Now last August if you were to tell me that I would purchase every part needed to assemble a guitar, do the finish, assemble the axe, do all the electronics myself, and only have a masters neck job be the only outsourced item, win a contest and have a guitar that I have been some considerable coin for, I would tell you that you were CRAZY. I came here to get a body and neck, found this forum and it just took off. This forum alone is worth so much money to Warmoth I can guarantee that it drives sales as guys come and look around at what we have built and decide to pull the trigger on a build of their own.

i'm not sure, but any chance i get to sing their praises i do. not only for their quality, but for their exceptional customer service.

Yep! I had a friend come down for the weekend recently and he played the SG, it took him about half an hour and then he fired up the laptop and was all over the Warmoth site planning a build.

Currently my 8-ball tele is making the rounds with pro level musicians here in town.  I imagine that some interest will be generated from that.

Got any finished pics of that bad boy assembled and setup?
