Has anyone paired a Strat body with a Nomad neck?

I would love to know how this looks. I am very on the fence.

I'm making my first build soon, and it's slated to be a lake placid blue Strat body with a birdseye maple neck, and I'm probably going to do either black or pearl black Nightswan inlays.

I think the nomad neck would look great with the Strat body, personally, but that and the nightswan inlays could be a huge risk I end up disappointed about.

I say go for it ... there are so many plain vanilla strat clones out there .... it’s so .... boring! Ever go to an open mike and all the guitars look the same? You never know till you try.  DO IT!!!  :yourock:

You're right, I've always wondered why more other non-Fender/Gibson brands don't make their own shapes and truly try to differentiate. I know many do but not enough man. There is a lot of monotony with the Stratocaster shape.

Hamer used to make Superstrats with explorer like headstocks. I still have one I bought in 89.

What else are you planning to do with it - Trem type, pickups etc?

It's going to be a hardtail with a 2tek. Super undecided on pickups yet but something very bright. Swimming pool route with a pickguard, so really the pickups mind end up as anything.

Those superstrats are nice. As a side note, I'm planning on keeping the nomad neck reversed, like the way it comes. And probably unpainted headstock.

There were some epiphone strats that used to have explorer style headstocks. I think they were s310 models or something close to that.

Okay, per your side note the Nomad neck does not come reversed unless it is ordered that way.

It might be worth getting to a point where you have more details worked out of what you are going to do parts wise before committing just to ensure one idea you have might not conflict with another.

Super quick-n-dirty mockup based on the Nomad neck that's currently in stock @ WM.

I've thought about putting a Nomad neck on a strat body. I think it would look cool, especially if you play heavier music. I've also liked the idea of a neck on a strat with the pointed 3+3 headstock like a certain V shaped guitar we will not name by brand  :laughing7: but someone in Europe is making custom strats like that.
