Thanksgiving is a US holiday where we celebrate a meal held between some early European colonists and the Native Americans they met.   It's a family holiday where we give thanks for the blessings of that year and remember those who couldn't be at the table with us.  We then eat a large meal that traditionally consists of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and a ton of miscellaneous side dishes.  (not to mention watching American Football all day)
