Does anybody have experience with the Schaller Hannes? I have never played a guitar with one, but ever since I first laid eyes on it I have had a fascination with it. All the marketing appeals to me greatly.

Also,

Dear Warmoth,

Add the Hannes bridge to your options. You have been Gotoh'ing me to death.

Has anybody actually USED one before? I will not buy a bridge simply because a saddle can fall out while replacing strings.

My personal opinion is that opinions can not be formed before you have experience with something. That's a little something I call "prejudice"

There are two or three comments in that thread from people who either tried out the bridge, or own it.  The one who owns it likes it, but we don't know if he tried it before buying one, so that may just be confirmation bias.

The Warmoth employees (or Warmoth employee, not sure if more than one person tried it out) felt its cons outweighed its pros.  Again, however, the threshold for pros outweighing cons might be significantly higher in a person for whom that situation potentially means a bunch more work.  For you, it's essentially going to be a custom piece on a custom guitar, regardless of which bridge you select.  For them, it might be something included on the website, stocked from Schaller (perenially terrible at keeping things available), CNC'd, &c.

You should ask djf67.  He has one on a very cool build...

To do a proper assessment,  you'd  have to buy a guitar that has one or build one to suit. When specifying a Hannes bridge to someone like Warmoth, that generally increases the cost due to it being a custom request. In assessing a bridge as a piece of hardware on a guitar, you'd have to A/B the bridge against another well known bridge, on the same guitar if at all possible. That all equals extra expenditure, and one I am not prepared to entertain.

Well, as I said in the cited thread, I like the guitar I've put it on, but I'd need to try it on a solid body to really compare tone with anything else I've got - and I've no plans to do that on my next builds, partly because of the negatives (not cheap and the routing is fiddly - 11mm channel on the back, for example) but also because I want to build different things. It's smooth under the hand but I can't say I can feel a dramatic difference c.f. Wilko strat bridge or Kahler trem that I have on my other builds.
YMMV

Perhaps, but it can be wise to make informed decisions based on other people's personal experiences.  That's how some forums exist and Consumer Reports came to be.  I see no prejudice in that.  Afterall, this is only a bridge.  Let's not make this over dramatic or a social issue.
