Green Dye as base for Blue?

I noticed on two Blue Strats in the showcase that they have green in the pickup and control cavities.  Does anyone know why this is?  Does it help the blue dye pop?  I am looking at creating a blue dye tele and I am trying to make sure I don't drift to turquoise.

I know the blue dye I used began to separate into a turquoise color shortly after being applied.  Maybe thats a continuation of what was going on ?  A lot of "blue" on the Showcase is rather turquoise in fact - paralleling what I've seen here on two guitars done that way.
