I have a set of Gotoh SGV510Z tuners and am not sure which tuner hole option to select when ordering neck from Warmoth.  Mainly due to measurements that I have taken as per picture attached.
Which option would be best:
Schaller
Sperzel
Gotoh/Grover

Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

You'll need to know your bushing specs as well. The website offers detailed specs on tuner reams. Check it out :headbang:

Looks like they're a perfect fit for the Sperzel ream. 9.92 hole vs. 9.92 OD. They'll end up being a press-fit, but that's a Good Thing, You want 'em to be just a touch tight.

Thanks for the reply.  Attached are two photos of the measurement of the bushing.  Looks like roughly 7.8 mm, unless I am measuring it wrong.  When you look at it, then one might consider the Schaller ream.

The parts you're measuring there thread inside the barrels of the tuners, so that dimension is fixed by the tuner design/machining. The barrel of the tuner body itself is what needs to fit into the hole in your headstock, so the measurement you took above is the pertinent one. It matches the Sperzel hole, so that's what I'd use.

The Schaller ream matches your dimensions better but it doesn't make much difference.  :occasion14:

Slight thread hijack here, but do any of you know just how well the Gotoh locking tuners fit the Warmoth Gotoh routed holes?

I'd like to think that's a silly question but I don't want to assume anything.

Thanks in advance.

Bringing this thread back, but I have these same tuners and just ordered the standard Gotoh tuner hole size.  They fit perfectly.
