I hate to ask a stupid question, but who manufactures Gotoh hardware?  I would like to assume that its a company called Gotoh but I'll be damned if I can find any company info or a website of any kind.

As far as I can tell, they are made by Hosco.

Here in the UK, there is no proper distribution for Gotoh.
Several of the specialist guitar parts suppliers list limited models.
I have found allparts to hold the best stocks of Gotoh.

When a company chooses to deal only as a supplier to manufacturers, its not uncommon for their web presence to be sparse or even no web presence.  They cater to the likes of Gibson, Fender, Taylor, PRS, and so on down the chain.  Gotoh has "some" web presence.  Try finding Ping on the web.  Ping supplies more tuners (and other hardware) than just about anybody.

Yep. Just like Rolls Royce doesn't like to talk about how much of their cars is made in NonsenseTele's country.
