OK, starting my second Warmoth build.
Gecko Medium 5, Black Korina Body (was GB50 in showcase).
Neck is Wenge/Bubinga with Macassar Ebony Fretboard, SS6230 frets, black TUSQ nut.
Bridge: Black Hipshot A, non-thru.
Black Gotoh GB7 tuners.
2XEMG40TWX pickups, starting off with the stock VVTT for now, might go to a 3-way VVTT and a preamp later, we will see.
I'm going to do a Pure Tung Oil finish (from milk paint so the real thing). Two soaking coats 50/50 with the orange solvent as per their instructions, then wet sanding with the oil/solvent mixture at 400,600 and 1200, then some French polish technique as a final step.
The neck doesn't require a finish, but I'm going to give it the same treatment because I like the feel of the wood with this. I did a Walnut Carvin kit and followed this procedure except with Tru-Oil. This one will be less shiny with normal Tung oil no varnish.
