My guess is it's the Dalbergia species, that being the most finger-board-y in properties (as a rosewood relative).

Yes, I saw the two new quilt tops out there last week.  Here's the other one...

I like the Ivoroid binding better but I'm not sure which of the quilt tops I like better.  They're very different.

Musta got some walnut in while I wasn''t looking. I didn't realize that Walnut was a fingerboard option. I don't want to like the maple fingerboards over walnut or big gaudy block inlays, but some of those are purty. And the ziri absolutely rocks.
