I dunno why. But I suddenly got GAS for one of the NAMM-new Squier Vintage Modified Jazzmasters

I never really cared for Jazzmasters before ...?!

:dontknow:
That's pretty cool, sans the ginormous headstock....It needs the above Jackson style neck in reverse.... :headbang1:

Not the Jackson headstock. A Firebird headstock.  :headbang1: :headbang1: :headbang1:

Is it a bit gassy if while you're waiting for the arrival of a new Warmoth body, to be speculatively bidding on another body elsewhere on Ebay? A Gretsch body (or one purporting to be so took my fancy :)

Haven't even been on your honeymoon and you're already flirting? That's not gassy; that's just slutty <grin>

I know mate, I know :)  It's a disease and I feel like Charlie Sheen.

Anybody seen this one yet? Not often a nice burl shows up...

Burled maple over solid alder, rear route (although the order page says "top route"), amber gloss finish. 4lbs., 1oz. Nice piece. $645 in the box, out the door.

Buy it! You know you want to! Stash it in the closet with the Evil Monkey until you can get an appropriate neck and hardware.

Surprisingly heavy for alder, though. Must be preggers <grin>

I am singularly uninterested in who or what might have copulated with that thing.  Thanks, Cagey, for making me taste a little vomit at the back of my throat.

Although I must say, you might almost believe someone at Warmoth World Headquarters might have been reading Agwan's posts and come up with that color scheme as a result.

Sorry about that. Although, I would have expected that reaction just from the color alone, without the speculation about the source of its weight problem <grin>

Speaking of tripping your gag reflex, surely you've seen what Fender used to paint their guitars with in the '50s and '60s? I know Leo used to buy the stuff surplus from GM for next to nothing, but still. Would it have affected their pricing structure enough to notice by using something less putrid? What's incredible is you can still get those colors, and some people want them.

I actually like some of them myself.  But the more lurid green colors - not so much.

I checked the body builder, you could at least get a cabronita both neon pink, and neon yellow :hello2:
