Every once in a long while, the tulipwood fairy waves her magic wand over the Warmoth factory, and something magical pops out.  For example, this lovely bass neck:

Black Ebony over roasted Maple.
.
I think I'd go with Macassar Ebony over Mahogany. Keep the color of the back close, and bring a little interest to the fretboard without taking away from the Redwood. Although, I gotta agree with Kevin that Roasted Maple might also work well there, especially the new darker colored crop. But hey, your axe, your choice, what ever floats your boat.  :icon_thumright:

Never tried the macasserr ebony but the roast maple is a big favaorite.....ill order a neck today.....when I can’t decide I default to Birdseye maple. I’d love a ziricote shaft neck but that would be  Spendy as the fingerboards are scarey expensive.

The rosewood is mighty nice. The maple stripe down the back is cool but I'm surprised it wasn't run all the way through. It'll make a fine guitar.
