Wow. That's not your father's Telecaster. If I didn't know any better, I'd accuse the thing of being fake. Incredible what nature turns up in wood grain.
 
That top is really amazing and somebody made a great decision on the finish they put on it. The only thing of concern for me would be how well the finish will hold up over time. I have the impression that burl can 'move' over time a bit more than other figuring. I have a Warmoth bass body with a figured walnut top and factory clear finish. There is one area with some burl, and while I'm certain that the finish was flawless originally, it's developed a small imperfection in that spot over time. For me that's absolutely no fault of Warmoth, wood being a natural material with its own whimsical little life etcetera, but I do wonder if it's something isolated or happens more.
 
What an amazing top! I hope someone on the forum grabs that up and starts a build thread.

That's a nice one, at a good price, too. I like that Taos turquoise. It looks good on just about anything.

Not sure of that myself, white is definitely my choice. Makes it real clean compared any other pickguard on the blue.

Pearl surf green? For less money ($220) than the paint job alone? Done. With a mint/black/mint pickguard. Dual humbuckers, Wilkinson vibrato, sensible wiring. Gonna be the whip.
