GAS Alert!!!!

I gotta tell ya, this is tempting.  With either PG.  Even more than the vintage tint I posted a while back.

Ying and Yang....nice... :icon_thumright:

Go with the black 'guard. The white pearl is attractive, but makes it look like a wedding decoration.

I'd bet those Alumitones would sound great in there. They're very clean pickups. Perfect for bass.

+1 for the black pickguard as well. Looks like it would be an awesome bass as well. And, it's not a Jazz bass!

Axkoa is right. It's not a Jazz bass.
So, how come the sudden change of heart (bass), Ghotiphry?

(By the way: GO FOR IT! With the black pickguard.) :eek:ccasion14:

Nope, not a jazz bass.  What can I say, I'm just going where the spirit moves me.  That's mostly why I've trended towards jazz basses, i just like them.  I think Warmoth makes more jazz basses than other types put together, which means there are more in the showcase.  I've also gone for the fancier items, like flames and quilts, which are also in the showcase as jazz basses more than other types.  But I'm not opposed to anything.  It's not an exclusive relationship.  It's not really a change of heart.

So, what, am I more gassy than other people.  This is an awfully nice slab of roasted alder.

By the way, I have had that black bound white 54 P and quartersawn maple neck in my cart for a week.  I was hoping one or the other would go on sale, but never did.  I'm still on the fence.

Quite nice.  Oh I GAS, just being unemployed doesn't allow it.  I can't even finish the 2 stalled builds I have going on.

Dang, almost a week since anyone's posted in this thread.  So here I am to advise you all to feast your eyes on this gorgeous stick of flamey figured maple with a tasty [Brazilian, not North American] tulipwood fingerboard. . .

Separately I wonder if this neck is the harbinger of more tulipwood goodness to come.  Because I, for one, think tulipwood is one of the more lovely and underrated of the Dalbergia species lumbers.  To be clear, there is a temperate hardwood called sometimes tulipwood that is actually a species of poplar.  This ain't that.

Tulipwood is one of the species I don't have in my collection yet. Love that stuff. For those outside the US, be aware that it's one of the species of Rosewood under the genus Dalbergia, so if you get the urge, you may have some dealings with customs due to CITES regulations.

Well I haven't posted GAS before but I don't know what this is still doing for sale. I'm planning to get a Warmoth neck when I decide on specs but I've bought an unfinished Ash body locally to accommodate it and want to make it look like this:

That's mighty purty.

Those are a couple nice bodies. I like the darker 'natural' bursts.

That neck with the tulipwood is beautiful. I haven't seen that before on a neck.

There are some truly beautiful things in the showcase.
