now now. if you check, I have mentioned in at least one or two other threads that I have been looking to get a goncalo or goncalo/pau neck for my tele, as i found it to be very very bright. But i figured i'd never find anything in the showcase, because I only wanted a '59 or SRV contour

i'm at work installing a new scanner - i have downtime while the software install is running which is why i've had too much time to ponder this. we'll see how i feel when I get home.

Ok, please nobody buy this neck, I am buying it tomorrow right after I cash my expense check.  I've wanted it since the day I saw it and was hoping by not saying anything I wouldnt draw some bad juju and have it disappear. But now I have the cash....  SS6105's and a Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut are going on this baby.....

You'd better haul ass - I'm looking at it... that's a mighty fine piece of work, and I've got a lovely piece of a mahogany tree shaped into a Strat body with no head that wants to be reanimated, and a credit card that'll take the abuse.

Don't cry - I've actually got my eye on another neck. But, I'm not going to be so foolish as to draw attention to it <grin>
 
My goal is to eventually put it on this with black P90's and all black hardware.  Side jack and 3 holes only (tone, volume and 3-way toggle) as not to put too many obstructions on top.  And don't forget the custom neck plate  :icon_biggrin:

That's a gorgeous body, and again, one I'd buy in a heartbeat if I didn't already have a very similar one. I just love blood red bleeds to black on figured tops. You need to pull the trigger on something, though. Those kinds of things don't last long on The Showcase. Skip the rent this month. You can catch up later <grin>

The neck is bought as soon as they pick up the phone. 
 
Sell something if you have to and get that body as well. If you're not a "collector" (read: anal retentive) a good rule of thumb is if you haven't used it in the last year, you don't need it. Put it on eBay and call it a love story. Somebody will give your various widgetry and instrumentation a good home. Don't deprive them; you're only hurting yourself.

"Collector" can also mean "hoarder". It's a genetic condition that seems to affect my family. I seem to have escaped it, except when it comes to guitars and guitar-related goodies. Especially pedals...  :tard:
