G&L ending

I've been seeing a lot of reports online of G&L laying off its employees and shutting down/being sold to Fender. However, nothing has been "officially" announced from what I see. Does anyone on this forum connected to the company or employees have any more information?

That would be a shame, but understandable.
I see very few places stock them. The ones that I have been in, none of the people could sell to someone them against a Fender item.

They are officially closed, and employees have been let go. There are rumors about the sale of the IP, but so far those are just rumors.
