I should have put this one up as soon as I finished it! Been busy with work to post a lot of stuff.

Neck: I've had it a couple of years now, '59 VM strat neck, 6130 frets, pao ferro board, MOP dots, home-cut bone nut, sperzels. A great neck. Finished by me in a couple light coats of satin poly.
Body: Tonar's "castoff" body! 3 lb 0 oz one piece swamp ash finished by the man himself, then rejected for absolutely NO reason I can fathom. It has a couple nicks from Sactown gigging which I certainly don't mind. Tonar's garbage is definitely another man's treasure.
Pickups: Troubled Treble's Roadhouse brand "65" underwound strat pickups. I LOVE these. They sound heavenly! A5 magnets, traditional coil structure, wound under 6k, very very articulate, classic, clear. They go so well with this whole package. They sound just as fantastic in series, actually, EXTREMELY usable sweet bucker sound.  Full review w/sound clips coming soon.

Bridge is just the Gotoh that warmoth sells, I couldn't bring myself to spring 4x the price for a callaham. Maybe I'll buy callaham saddles or something. Controls: 5 way does the normal thing, master vol master tone (RS guitarworks 500k pots), the second tone just operates as a pull-for-series switch. Does what I want, not too much thinking needed.

That means 4 of us had a hand in this lovely. I'll submit for GOM once I get those last pickguard screws in it, and the fingerboard edges rolled down at Rudy's.

Well, my feelings on str*ts in general should be well known by now but I love that this guitar has contributions from so many on the board!

Classic design very well done!  :blob7:  :blob7:  :blob7:

THAT is a cast off from Tonar!!! Man, most of us would be happy with that finish on any guitar.

Very cool idea and perfect execution :icon_thumright:

Why are the springs set up funny? Just cause 4 springs is a hard number to set straight? Im away from my guitar with a trem and can not check

Looks great!

That body was not a cast off by any means I just took all the parts off it to use on the Mary Kaye and did not want to have it laying around unused.  That was one fine sounding guitar when I had it and I hope it sounds as great for you.

What do you think of the profile of the body; I always thought that bodies profile was way nice.

Rapfo, because I grounded the bridge on the last spring post, the springs are at an off angle. I've got plenty of tension on there, I'm a rare trem user and prefer a flush & firm bridge setup, so it doesn't matter much.
Tonar: Well this body should not be sitting under someone's bed. It's gorgeous and sounds damn fine. I love the profile; the difference between it and the standard one is subtle to look at but it just "feels right"
Max: Tonar does the deeper vintage-spec strat contours on his strat bodies, the tummy cut and forearm cut are a bit more pronounced, feels a bit sleeker to hold.

A simple, sloppy, basic recording. You can get a sense of the quality of the pickups though, I think. This is through a champ clone w/ 10" Eminence Legend speaker, zero effects or processing, Rhode NT1-A mic. I recorded the exact same thing on my tele and posted the clip here if you really want to compare what sloppy playing on two different awesome guitars soundsl like: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=13310.0
