I truly believe that everyone should try playing with their own nuts, because a really fine setup is almost a process not an event. Only you know how hard you hit the strings, how your bends are working, whether you intend to mix in standard-tuning slide. Bearing this in mind, at both Stew-Mac and LMII they sell acoustic bridge saddles that are more than twice as long as a nut. There's not as big a saving at Stew-Mac $7.22 for a long saddle, $4.22 for a nut. But at LMII, a single saddle like their "SOU" and "SO" is $3.55, and their nuts are $3.60!
