Have built a handful of guitars and basses but this is the first using Warmoth parts. Am already impressed with the quality of this neck and can't wait for the body to arrive on Tuesday so I can get her under way. To be honest I picked this neck out of the showcase since it was the least expensive tele neck with exotic woods. Since then I have been reading nothing but good things about the combination of woods it has so I am real exited to see how it turns out.

Welcome to the forum.

For the unfinished neck you might want to check this thread out

Nice grain on the Pau Ferro by the way.

Thanks, the pics on the Warmoth website did not show just how cool the fingerboard looks. Might have to give that polishing a try. I have a couple sets of stew Mac polishing pads that go up to like 2400 grit or something ridiculous like that. The neck feels great as is though so we will see.

Trust me - it will be sooooooooo much better polished up!  I polished my Bocote neck that felt fantastic when I got it out of the box and it was 100% better after polishing it via the instructions on that thread!

Body has arrived. Simple two piece swamp ash body but the quality can't be beat. Two piece book matched to center. Very light weight. Wish I had an accurate method to weigh it. Ready for finishing.

That's a handsome part.  Nice and symmetrical.

Looking forward to you giving it the Wudtone treatment and seeing how it comes out.
