A friend of mine (who has the great shop that produced the body of the Bass VI) hooked me up with a Zoom recording console with an embedded drum machine.
I messed around with it over the holiday and cut an original tune I call Cataviña, after the amazing high desert in the middle of the Baja penninsula.

Guitars: Warmoth Jazzmaster with Roadhouse pickups, this is all the neck pickup.  I just rolled the volume down a little for the rhythm guitar.
Bass: Custom Bass VI, Roadhouse pickups.
Amp: Mesa Stiletto Ace
I didn't get fancy with it, hell, I hardly read the manual.  Simple drum track, enough to show the cats in the band what to do with it.

Excellent!!

I like how it's a real slow, trad. melody, and you mix it up with very untraditional gear and hihats.

Both the instruments sound great, I love that solo at 2:00! It gets a little sloppy at a point, but it just hits a different spot in surf, seems a little unexplored! Super cool, reminds me of some guitarist(not surf) I can't quite put a finger on.

Posting it on SG101? If not, I will! :icon_biggrin:

Thanks, guys!
Yeah, that wasn't at all the solo I wanted on it, but I ran out of give-a-shit.
I'll probably retake that.
