First gig in 6 months, last night.

At the end of last year we fired our drummer and went looking for a new one.  By march we settled on Jordan, the knuckle-dragging, tequila swilling, transgendered neandrothal, and started looking for gigs.  Last night was our first gig since playing a friend's wedding last November.

Not only that, but this was our first bar gig.  I've played plenty of bars in other bands, but this band has made our way doing private parties, weddings, special events, charity events, Unitarian/Universalist Church Dances, etc.  Lots of gigs, but never a bar.  Three and a half years, no bars.  So this was a different audience for us.

And we owned the room.  The band that followed us was positively tame compared to us, good, but our energy was popping.

Though I think I'm gonna make my wife start doing crunches (the one in peach).  I adore her, but they say the camera adds 10 pounds.  Don't tell her I said that....

I love pub gigs.
You guys looked like you were loving it.    Good times  :icon_thumright:

Sounds like a fun time, congrats on the good gig!

I know what you mean about the camera though, my girl has a bunch of weight she'd like to lose. I don't need to lose weight (in fact that would probably be unhealthy) but I know I should eat better and exercise more. So we are shopping better and eating better, and planning out exercise schedules for the two of us together. It could even be fun maybe  :hello2:

Looks like it was fun!

You guys really seem like you're in a good space with your music.
