Hey all,
by way of introduction, my name is Russ and i have just ordered parts for my first Warmoth build.
Black Korina chambered strat with one-piece flame maple top (from the recent 20% off deal), and flame maple/flame maple reverse warhead neck Wilkinson VS100 bridge.
I am going HSS with a BKP HD/Irish tour set.

So, my skill level is limited to basic set-ups. I have leveled and re-crowned a couple of high frets on a Schecter and have installed a pickup on a classic lawsuit Ibanez SG.

I'll be looking forward to you all walking me through the inevitable issue that will arise :)

Welcome and congrats on your new acquisitions. I went the partscaster route when I took up playing again and have never looked back. Keep posting and shaking the tree here. I am not yet doing my own work but there are some extremely experienced and helpful souls on this forum. I can say that I am of the mind that assembly and proper set up are two different skill sets. And the difference between a properly set up guitar and one that is off even a bit in some aspect of what all has to be balanced is an annoyance beyond belief. So I am saying don't worry if you do some DIY and some having a luthier tackle some. I have to add that the ability to custom choose all your own components is worth everything.

Welcome! I'm sure you'll get whatever help, guidance, and unwanted opinions :icon_jokercolor:that you may need here...and you're gonna love those 'Irish Tour' pickups! HAVE FUN!!

I wonder if Dennis Miller gets the same kick out of people recognizing his obscure references?  :icon_biggrin:
